Children’s Book Author at Gale Library, Newton

Michael Sullivan, children’s book author, will visit the Gale Library, Newton on Wednesday, August 24 at 1:00 PM . Famed storyteller Michael Sullivan writes for primary and middle readers in grades 3 to 7. “Escapade Johnson and Mayhem at Mount Moosilauke” is his first fiction book for kids, followed by “The Coffee Shop of the Living Dead”,and “Witches of Belknap County”. Escapade Johnson may feel like the most boring kid in the most normal town in the least thrilling state in the country, yet he continuously seems to find himself in adventures.  From class field trips gone wrong to coffee shop slavery and local witch sightings, Escapade certainly lives up to his name, but not in the way he might have expected.  Come hear about him and his Sanbornton Elementary schoolmates on these decidedly unboring adventures. Mr. Sullivan will also be presenting readers with one of his novels.

Michael Sullivan is also the author of Connecting Boys With Books, and The Fundamentals of Children’s Service.  He has spoken widely on the topic of boys and reading.~ He has been a Children’s Librarian, Library Director, former President of the New Hampshire Library Association and was the 1998 New Hampshire Librarian of the Year.~
