Classroom Connection 10/27/11
Students have continued analyzing events leading up to the Civil War and have used primary sources and their textbook to determine the Northern and Southern perspective of each. The events they have mastered so far: The Missouri Compromise, The Compromise of 1850, The Kansas-Nebraska Act, the Sumner Beat Down & John Brown’s Raid. Students will be quizzed on these events on November 2nd.

We will be using this interactive map (click the above link) in class on October 21st to see how pivotal the Kansas-Nebraska Act became.
Students should be noticing the increasing tensions as the events leading to the Civil became more heated. As of tomorrow we will have studied the Missouri Compromise, the Compromise of 1850 and the Kansas-Nebraska Act.
